Dear Customer,

We have prepared the following information to assist you in packing your jewelry or accessories for a return. While the post office does a wonderful job of getting our mail and packages to us in a timely manner, due to automated machinery, you can be sure that your package will be subject to rough handling along the way. It is almost a guarantee that your package will be dropped and/or have other packages fall on top of it while in transit. Please keep this in mind when readying your return.

The original gift box will help your return arrive safely. Place the item on top of the cotton insert with a layer of bubble wrap on top. If returning more than one item, please ensure that the items aren't touching and will not shift to cause contact in transit. Close the box securely using the original tulle ribbon, a rubber band or tape. When the box is closed the item(s) inside should not move around.

If you still have the original shipping box, this can be reused. Bubble envelopes are also acceptable and Priority Mail boxes are free at the post office, though the cost of Priority Mail is higher than 1st Class.

Please *do not* use non-padded or plain envelopes, as the items inside will likely be crushed.

If you are using a bubble envelope with a gift boxed item, no further cushioning is needed. For returns using shipping boxes, place the item in the shipping box with a layer of peanuts, packing paper or tissue underneath for cushioning. Place another layer of cushioning on top of the item and close securely with shipping tape.

We recommend insurance, since many of our items are fragile. The choice is ulitmately yours, but if you ship without, you are shipping at your own risk. Please also be aware that insurance is not a subsitute for proper packing. The post office will not honor claims for poorly packed items that are damaged (i.e., loose items that rattle around in the box or items packed without adequate cushioning).
