I love how the pink and fuchsia rhinestones play off of the japanned metal background of these wonderful screw-clip earrings. They measure 1 1/8" in diameter and have a basket weave design at center. How much fun are these 1960s triangle earrings? Quite a lot I think! They put a different spin on the traditional clip back by setting the clip not at the back, but in the middle of the earring, in between the black plastic back and silver tone metal/clear rhinestone front. They measure 1 5/8" wide by 1 ½" long and the clip back is riveted to the black plastic. Very good vintage condition and plenty of 'wow' factor. Simulated coral branches (gold tone metal) embrace a watermelon art glass center that is slightly concave in shape, in this very interesting, 2" wide by 1 5/8" long pin. It is in very good vintage condition, with some wear to the gold tone finish at the ends of the coral, around the rhinestones. This piece comes from the personal collection of author Cherri Simmonds, and appears in her book "Collectible Costume Jewelry: Identification and Values" on page 168.
