Tiny Star  So many categories, so little time. Here's a brief overview of what you'll find in each:

Tiny Star  What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Tiny Star  Do you buy jewelry or take pieces on consignment?

From time to time we do buy pieces from sellers via the internet. Please feel free send us an e-mail if you're looking to sell. Unfortunately we don't do consignments at the present time.

Tiny Star  I recently inherited some jewelry.  Could you tell me its value?  Could you give me some information about the jewelry?

Unfortunately, due to an enormous volume of requests, we are unable to give appraisals for, or answer any questions pertaining to jewelry items and accessories other than those that are for sale on our site. We love to talk jewelry and share information, but there simply aren't enough hours in a day! Fortunately, there are many excellent books, videos and websites dedicated to the subject of vintage, costume and antique jewelry. Please visit our Jewelry Reference/Information Page for some helpful links. We wish you the best of luck in your search!

Tiny Star  You don't have the designer/piece that I'm looking for!!

This website site represents only a portion of our inventory. We may well have what you're looking for in stock, so feel free to e-mail us with any requests. And if we don't have a certain piece, we're more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Tiny Star  How often do you update the site?

We update once or twice per month, around the 10th and/or the 30th. Bookmark our Newest Additions page and come back often or follow us on Twitter for the latest Absolutely Vintage news.

Unless otherwise stated, all earrings are clipbacks.

Tiny Star  How do I tell what size your rings are in my country?

Onlineconversion.com has some very handy conversions...click here to visit the International Ring Size Convertor.

Tiny Star  How do I report a problem with your site, i.e. missing photo, broken link, browser conflict?

We are happy to answer any questions regarding the site or squash any HTML bugs. E-mail us at AVjewel@aol.com to let us know.

Tiny Star  Some of the pictures on the site aren't loading, why is this?

At times of very high traffic, our webserver can experience a slowdown and some pictures may fail to load. If you are experiencing this, it is best to check back at a later time. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Tiny Star  Are all the pieces on your site Vintage? And what exactly is vintage?

The definition varies, however it is generally accepted that pieces 25 years old or older are considered vintage. The majority of our inventory is vintage. There are some contemporary pieces throughout the categories and they are always marked as such. Additionally, the Tomorrow's Treasures theme page is exclusively new items.

Tiny Star  What are your standards for describing the condition of your pieces?

We have very high standards for the vintage and contemporary pieces that we offer for sale. Although the vast majority of our collection has been previously owned and gently used, we ensure that all stones are present and all functional parts are in good working order. We strive to make note of any and all flaws or wear issues that are present. We do our best to make our descriptions as clear as possible and fun to read too!

Below are the terms we use to describe condition and what we mean by them:

Brand New / Pristine - We reserve this only for pieces in the most perfect of condition. Vintage pieces that have been boxed and never worn, showing no signs of age, as well as contemporary pieces that have not been worn.

Excellent / Excellent Vintage Condition - Pieces with only the most minor of wear, that is visible only upon close inspection. Generally speaking, tiny scuffs or scratches, mostly or entirely on the back of the piece. (We also describe these pieces as "Great", "Terrific", or in "Fabulous" condition, when we're feeling more poetic. ;o)

Very good / Very Good Vintage Condition - These pieces show slight but not overly noticeable signs of wear, such as scuffing to the finish, surface scratches or minor chips (aka 'flea bites') to glass or stone. None of these issues detract from the overall beauty.

Good / Good Vintage Condition - More obvious signs of wear such as darkened stones, minor enamel loss, scuffs and scratches. Pieces that fall into this category are offered mainly because of their age, rarity or exceptional beauty, but because of their condition, will not appeal to everyone.

We understand that condition is very much in the eye of the beholder. Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to e-mail us for further details. We are also happy to provide additional pictures upon request.
