Measuring 1 1/8" long by 7/8" wide, this oval pin/pendant by Winard is all about beautiful simplicity and understated elegance. It features a polished, natural stone center (some type of agate?) with striations throughout, but most prominently displayed by the "V" shape at upper left. The simple bezel setting and braided frame are 14K gold filled, as indicated on the back of the pin. The masters at Ciner were renowned for the fine look of their costume jewelry, and this exceptional collar is a great example why that was so. Made of gold tone metal in tightly interlocking, beaded texture panels, it measures 7/8" wide and is 14 1/2" long. It is marked twice, once on the clasp and once on the necklace near the clasp and please note, it is very heavy. This magnificent sword pin is a jewelry masterpiece and a shining example of the skilled workmanship that Jomaz was known for. Measuring a graceful 4 5/8" long by 1 1/2" wide, it is made of gold tone metal in the following three sections:
The hilt has a simulated cultured pearl and is adorned with diagonal rows of small clear rhinestones. The stopper, that clutches the bottom of the pin, has three rows of small clear rhinestones and is attached to the pin with 3" of fine gold tone metal chain. Finally, the elaborate hand guard, riveted to the hilt, features clear rhinestones, a deep purple faceted oval and two soft green oval cabochons (natural stone, possibly apatite). It is stamped at the base of the hilt with the Jomaz name and all three sections are stamped with a "W". In very good to excellent vintage condition with some very minor finish wear (on the stickpin) that is only noticeable upon close inspection. This is a phenomenal and hard to find piece.
